Robinhood-like stock brokers are scratch offs for the middle class.

Much like how state lotteries justify their existence, fractional stock ownership suggests some loftier goal.

But fundamentally, instead of giving money to my state's education, the middle class is helping stock brokers on the NYSE/NASDAQ meet their bonus targets and allows decreased friction so that meme-stonks can go to the moon.
