A boss of mine once asked me, "What do you wish I would ask you?"

So I told him.

And what he did next with it is what made him one of the best bosses ever. He listened.

How did I know he listened? He brought that very same question to me a month later.

He did more to earn my loyalty with that gesture than any pizza lunch ever did.
