Ignoring Gall's Law will kill your company.

"A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work."

You can't get away with ignoring this law pre-product market fit. You simply don't have the runway to let someone make a complex monster that doesn't really do anything welll. If someone tries, they'll usually get fired fairly quickly.
