This was the weekend Trump destroyed US exports.

The left side of the EU Parliament was already against adopting the EU-US trade, deal but did not have the majority.

Now the deal is dead, as more parties outside the left are furious because of Trump's revenge tariffs towards countries protecting Greenland.

Trump's 25% tariffs on allies supporting Greenland against his imperialist threats are unacceptable.
We must act now: suspend negotiations on the EU-US trade deal and activate the Anti-Coercion Instrument.
The EU will not bow to intimidation.

The threats from President Donald Trump to impose increased customs duties on States that refuse to adhere to his project of annexing Greenland are unacceptable.
These announcements are part of a continuation of numerous other aggressive actions directed against the European Union.
It is therefore now time to shift from a logic of dependence to a logic of deterrence.

… Consequently, @RenewEurope cannot vote in favour of the EU-United States trade agreement of Turnberry.
Furthermore, the European Union must be prepared to deploy targeted and proportionate countermeasures. The activation of the EU anti-coercion instrument should be explicitly considered, as it was precisely designed to address situations of economic intimidation of this nature.

New US tariffs because of Greenland are unbelievable. This is a new dimension. A trade instrument is being used as a political pressure tool. Business as usual is impossible. This means:
1. Suspend the work of the EP on implementing EU deals
2. I call on the COM to activate ACI
