This week marks my 10 years for nature in Brussels. A decade ago I joined NABU for EU policy work. This has been meaningful & demanding. It comes with long days behind a screen or in windowless meeting rooms, far from nature. The challenges against vested lobbies + populist politicians are huge. Still, a small group of committed advocates can make a difference. Sometimes we win, often we at least limit damage. Not with big budgets but with conviction, creativity & collaboration 💚
