We need to start treating student organizers like people. Stop putting them in a box of only organizing “young people” and only treat their experience with minimal value unless they have a win in the press. We don’t force retirees to only do retiree organizing, why do we do this to students? We don’t want “mentorship,” we want our voices to be treated with dignity and respect.
