Sorrow at Lapu-Lapu Day in Vancouver

Something horrible happened in Vancouver recently:

I had multiple people outside of Canada call us to ask us to see if we were OK — which I didn't expect, but I suppose makes sense.

I live in Metro Vancouver. It is within driving distance of where it happened. But it isn't in our local neighbourhood.
