I have a 1gbps connection. Most commercial social media sites take 3 to 6 seconds to fully load because of algorithms, tracking, and other stuff. Mastodon, though, loads instantly. There's a clear difference between self-hosted, non-telemetry software and commercial platforms built for spying.
