research on modern fascism

This book just came out and it's really interesting:

My main takeaways are that

- neoliberal hustle culture turns you into a fascist, especially if it doesn't turn you rich
- society has stopped working for society-wide progress and instead works for rich people to become even richer. This turns people into fascists
- we really desperately need a positive vision of the future to strive towards. Not having one turns people into fascists
- fascists cannot be convinced with facts and logic because they base their decisions on gut feelings
