정치인의 기묘한 행보에 개큰 물음표를 만들면서 늘 느끼는 회의감이지만, 입장 바꿔서 내가 정치인이라고 했을 때 내가 상상도 못한 어떤 관점을 주장하는 목소리에 쉬이 귀가 열릴 것 같지도 않고, 더욱이 수백 수천만 명의 군중 사이에서 그런 목소리만 걸러내 듣기도 어려울 거라고는 생각한다. 요컨대 묻는다고 답이 돌아올 가능성의 거의 없다는 것은 이미 납득했다는 이야기다. 단지 0.1%라 해도 0%보다는 무조건 낫기 때문에, 끝없이 떠들기로 마음먹었을 뿐이다.
