요새 쿠팡 이미지가 처절하게 망가져 가는 걸 보면서 한때 이런 생각을 했던 기억이 떠올랐다. "이 따위 언행을 저지르고도 저들이 승리할 리가 없다. 그러나 이 따위 언행을 저질렀음에도 불구하고 저들이 승리할까봐서 무섭다." 2022년 3월에 했던 생각이었고 당시의 우려는 현실이 되었다. 당장의 타격감과 뻔히 보이는 상대의 헛짓거리는 당장 유쾌할 수 있으나, 궁극적으로 상대가 진짜로 고개를 숙이게 하는 데에 도달하지 못한다면... 그것은 그저 한때의 눈요기에 불과한 것이다.
