원리가 무엇인가 하니, 액정 픽셀에 고시야각 픽셀과 저시야각 픽셀을 번갈아 사용한 뒤, 프라이버시 모드가 켜디면 고시야각 픽셀만 전부 꺼서 시야각을 좁힌다. 심지어 강화된 프라이버시 모드를 동작시키면, 고시야각 픽셀이 꺼지는 대신 회색으로 점등되면서 시야각에 난반사를 일으켜 더 강력하게 엿보기가 차단된다.
