The US fails to address racism, capitalism, and the military-industrial complex that MLK fought. Hawaii was the solution - anti-racist, socialist, anti-imperialist prosperity even at the height of colonial empire. The US tried to kill our dream, but we rise nonetheless.

Prior to the US coup, Hawaii had the world's highest

literacy rate (98%), Universal Healthcare, electric lights
before the white house, mass affordable transit,
industrialization, virtually no homelessness, full racial
equality. Post-coup, all these statistics reversed.
