It’s going to be fascinating to see what happens when the AI models start to absorb more and more code generated by AI and less and less written and corrected by humans. If Thom is right then coding will become a lost skill.

But I also survived an era when companies relied on anyone and everyone creating Access databases and my career started by re-writing proper versions of them because they were unmaintainable and fragile beyond a certain point.
