Quiet public

This is a very durable and reasonably easy way to finish a petticoat seam also, it's just very much not fast! If the fabric was a bit sturdier I could have tried my luck with a presser foot that automatically did a flat felled seam all in one go, but it certainly was not going to work out in this fabric. 😅

Trying to take a quick photo of what the skirt sans the final ruffle looks like, but then Karvinen decides it's Karvinen time.

Two photos side by side, in both Sini is standing in her living room with a ginger tabby cat in front of her, and she's loosely holding a white skirt against herself, making it look like she's wearing it. First the cat is sitting down and looking up at her, she's looking down at him and grinning. In the second, she is reaching down a hand towards him, palm open, and he is standing on his little behind and back legs, paws and head raised up as if to meet her. The room is filled with soft daylight and there's a bunch of cosy quilts, curtains and such in the background. Sini is wearing a black blouse with its cuffs turned up and a black bandanna on her head.
