Good news! @nlnet has confirmed that my work on the s6-rc service manager will be funded, through the @NGIZeroNGI Zero open source funding Core initiative, so improvements will be happening this year.

You can expect at least a friendlier user interface, early boot scripts providing enough policy to be autonomous, and if all goes well, integration in a mainstream Linux distribution such as Alpine. Finally.
