You may be looking at this food and wondering ‘why is it so different from the vegetarian South Indian foods I usually get’ and that’s because Malaysian Tamils tended to have come from lower caste communities, who have different foods. His success is a huge beacon of hope for many, especially those who haven’t seen this type of Tamil food represented.
