Fediverse is still a big hammer, and everything is nails. The abstraction of life is the ActivityPub Note, and if you are religious then God will read your fedi timeline at the gate of Heaven.

We underestimate the cost of tools, esp. where the tool best-for-the-job has higher friction to use it.

The success of fedi was built on Microblogging. Yet now we overuse that massively. Most discussions on open standards and enabling technologies happen on timeline threads that are link-rotted tomorrow.
