We have @CryptPad which the UN is going to be using. Which was funded by the EU through @NGIZeroNGI Zero open source funding .

This is like the opposite of digital sovereignty.

I just mentioned how we have let US advertisement giants become the pillars of society, and finally have a good alternative with the great support and help from the Commission and dedicated institutions like @nlnet to help get funding where it is needed most: In the commons, where people know what people need.

But this is very clear: #BigTech molochs aren't pillars in any way. They're the Blob of horror movies, gobbling the lifeblood of people. Corporate social media are parasitical. 🌻 Luckily we have good alternatives.
