last night, two users were invited to a private DM conversation on my matrix server. my client tells me i did this. that was scary at first (see the edit history lol).

anyway, i found this in my access logs:

[26/Mar/2025:22:18:58 +0100] "POST /_matrix/client/r0/rooms/!PLkdddSYRn6UiFDqza:katzen.cafe/invite HTTP/1.1" 200 33 "-" "Element/1.6.36 (Nothing A063; Android 14; UQ1A.240105.004; Flavour GooglePlay; MatrixAndroidSdk2 1.6.36)"

this seems to be a request, from my own mobile phone, to invite these users to the room in question. the IP address (not depicted) belongs to my genuine ISP.

so, i believe that, whilst asleep, my skin has pressed against my phone in just the right way to open Element and trigger these invites. hahahaha.
