@stefanStefan Bohacek @neilNeil Brown I understand people want to be able to limit who can reply, but a big element also seems to be these unwelcome responses not being visible to the wider community.

Would seem to let these people avoid both censure and action?

@ReCyclistAlan Yes, but I do question to what degree this matters. Mansplaining and similar issues have been a problem on Twitter, and happen on Bluesky and these are, more or less, both centralized platforms with all replies immediately visible.

Some people just can't resist the urge to bother a stranger.
