Netflix’s new passwordless login feels like a deceptive pattern.

At first glance, it looks like Netflix removed the option to log in with a password. Your only visible path is the email code flow, with a code that expires in 15 minutes.

The password option is still there, but it is buried under “Get help” and then “I can’t access this email right now.” That extra friction makes the password path easy to miss.

Netflix login page, with a message saying Enter the code we sent to your email, and a 4 digit empty box. A Get Help small section is collapsed at the bottom of the screenSame login page, with the 4 digits code input. The small Get Help section is expanded and reveals a first link that reads I can't access this email right now.
