I might have saved a friend from a romance scam last night.

He asked how I met people for dates, then quickly changed the subject to how he got a writing number phone call but ended up chatting with the person. He immediately opened a chat app and showed me their conversation. Must have been 25 or more back and forths of messages, including her photo: obvious AI of a hot young Asian woman.
