A bunch of professors (who mostly don't really have strong credentials in the field) argue that "AI" is already as intelligent as humans (https://archive.ph/2026.02.03-055607/https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-026-00285-6) .

The paper is a hot mess and it's weird how that passed any review but I really wonder why that kind of shit comes out now? Is that an attempt to keep the bubble going by injecting more hopium while the economic facts are coming for it with a shredder?
