So, spoke with the insurance guy who did the inspection yesterday.

Apparently the $12,909.54 (minus $500 deductible, so $12,409.54) is what they will pay as the car is considered totaled and so they won't pay for repairs?

Or I have an option to keep the car, minus "salvage" (he estimated $2500 to $3000) and retain salvage of the vehicle. He was going to look that up and left a voicemail, I'll call him in the morning.

sigh Looking at comparable vehicles, definitely none are that cheap.

Meanwhile, it's still at the dealership, still waiting on parts.

My hotel reservation ends tomorrow morning.

The bankers, still have not gotten back to me about reimbursement requests (OFC).

So, do I book more nights in a hotel and hope the dealership will at least get my current car limping along (for additional expense and less from the insurance company because of the salvage deduction).

Or: do I keep wasting money on hotel rooms and rental cars until I get another car?

JFC.

It is expensive to be poor.
