I've been AFK a lot and while I wish that meant my life were more full of nature and forests and rivers, mostly it's been because of a lot of driving.
One upshot is: I saw photek perform live at RespectDnB in Los Angeles on Thursday night! That was a lot of fun! If only I had such inspiring beats to dance to more frequently, I would probably be in much better shape physically!
Also, while the Bay Area lost its last vegan Ethiopian restaurant recently (Kaffa which was delicious and wonderful in Berkeley, unfortunately the woman running the place ran into issues with a greedy out of state land lord and closed within the last year or so; meanwhile the last time I went into Cafe Dareye in Oakland, they had added meat to their menu wtfh!?) Ebony in San Luis Obispo seems to be going strong and even had a live deejay (spinning on Jan's Sound system which featured custom made speakers and a classic pair of Technics SL-1200MK2s [skinned in blue] with a decent Pioneer mixer)! Which is to say, my Thursday was full of good music.
