Encrypted chat apps (Signal, Whatsapp) are just terrible for having conversations and sharing photos you do not wish to lose.

I am trying to transfer Signal chats to a new device but it wants to do this with location and wifi, and it's failing completely. The two devices are sitting next to each other but they can't find each-other. I have a USB cable sitting right there and would use that but they don't give that option.

Whatsapp chats got recovered from a backup from... 4 days ago. Yay?
