my hope for the Next is that you can give it to someone who is not a computer expert, and they can turn it on and go to the web without any significant hurdles. this may sound easy, but is very difficult to get right if you still want the device to be as open source and DIY reproducible as possible and manufactured under the non-industrial constraints that we have.
