@thestrangeletTheStrangelet @Em0nM4stodonEm For software, most definitely. One of the deeper joys I’ve had as a former software developer, is seeing how the FOSS model took hold, and has thrived.

But looking back at some other former vaporware-pushing, Beemer and Bling-fixated people I worked with, and the monetary and subsequent social success they’ve enjoyed, I don’t see that model going away anytime soon. 🫤
