Seeing a lot of posts at the moment on social media of "trans women are women" after the judicial decision in the UK yesterday, and it's eating away at me a bit.

Feels very... idk like:

a) tell me something I don't know,

b) like this creates room for debate on whether trans women really are women (when it's simply not something to debate)

I'm not seeing quite as many posts saying that they stand with trans women and will actually do something to enshrine trans people's right to exist (in a time when those rights seem to be being stripped away everywhere)

Like, we're well beyond the point of that phrase being at all meaningful, we need action from allies, not just words.
