FediMod FIRES is also rapidly approaching 1.0.0, and there's now instructions available for how to setup and install your own FIRES server.

That's also why my contributions to Mastodon have dropped off a bit this year, as I've needed to focus on FediMod FIRES, since it was income I could rely on.

I've still landed some pretty big changes in mastodon this year: github.com/mastodon/mastodon/p

I've also been having to take on work outside of the fediverse to try to keep things sustainable, but of course that means I'm busy doing that work instead of working on the open social web.

Small note: the previous figure I'd shared for community support accidentally omitted the €1730 from GitHub Sponsors because I don't see that in my normal Stripe dashboard

The NLNet amount also jumped up as I was able to submit another request for payment, which has since been approved.

I've also submitted grant applications for FediMod FIRES (to continue development) and for the ActivityPub Trust & Safety Taskforce, which if approved will unlock funds for myself and others on the taskforce, allowing us to spend more time on that work.
