I'm aware that I've been mentioned in a post with regards to @nlnet funding for @loops, seen here: mastodon.social/@dansup/116120

This post was not made with my informed consent. I am *not* involved in Pixelfed nor Loops projects. I have tried in vain to give Daniel advice, but he's often ignored it.

Loops figuring out bridging with AT Protocol apps in a similar space would be a huge win for all (loops + atproto apps), since it avoids the "there's no content here" problem and prioritises people over platforms or protocols.

You can't yell against a protocol and then expect collaboration. You can't burn relationships and then expect people will work with you. That's not how this works.

Maybe, in time, through actions and not words, Dan can repair the bridges he's burnt.

I applied for a second NLnet grant for Loops late last year — hoping for good news soon! 🤞 If it comes through, we'd pay @ErickaSimone to lead anti-abuse and safety tooling, @h@besties.house to work on frontend dev + new features and @thisismissem@hachyderm.io to steward ATProto/federation. Building a more diverse team is a real priority for us. Funding is what makes paid, sustainable, inclusive collaboration possible. #Loops #NLnet
