Here's a free tip if you ever get into older UNIX variants like HP-UX or Solaris: whatever the installer suggests for the partition size for /, increase it massively by taking away space from /home. These old UNIX variants try to minimise the size of / to give more space to /home, and I can 100% guarantee you that's going to bite you in the ass at some point during your fucking around.

Just make /home smaller, and donate it to /. You'll thank me for it.
