Preparing for surgery has given me a lot of perspective on just how much support I have. So many people can't even get a friend-- or partner!! to as much as be with them for 24 hours after surgery.

I feel very, very lucky to have a lot of people in my life who would chip in to help me post-surgery, and to have a lot of people I would help without a moment's hesitation.
