Before I tell this story, I want to point out that I can be incredibly childish. I know this about myself.

Anyway, I was raised to believe that it is manly to own up to your mistakes.

Conservative Christians (and thus, most Republicans) believe that it is unmanly to admit when you are wrong.

So when you present evidence that they were wrong about something, they could just admit that they were wrong and make the topic go away, but instead they throw tantrums like spoiled toddlers…
