일본 불법유통 대응 단체 ABJ 이토 아츠시(Ito Atsushi) 사무국장은 “해적판은 작품 인지도를 높이는 데는 도움이 될지 모르나, 수익이 작가에게 환원되어 새로운 작품을 창조하는 ‘창작의 선순환’을 저해할 뿐”이라며 “민간, 단체, 정부 다양한 채널을 통한 협력이 필요하다”고 말했다.
