실제로 테슬라는 생산량 대비 가장 많은 자동화 설비를 갖춘 곳이기도 하지만, 반대로 생산량 대비 가장 많은 인간 노동자를 고용하고 있는 회사이기도 하다. 지엠(GM), 포드(Ford)와 비교하면 판매량 대비 고용 규모가 거의 2배에 달한다. 로봇이 인간 노동력을 대체할 것이라는 서사로 하루아침에 주가가 폭등하는 기업도 아니다.
