trying to replace my chair cylinder has been an ordeal. turns out most everything is standardized *except* the length of the cylinder. so the removal kit and replacement cylinder i ordered made my chair too tall, and what i should have ordered is a "short" cylinder instead of a "universal fit" one. of course i find this out after already installing it... so i need to struggle again. might order a rubber mallet and maybe a pipe wrench on top of a new "short" cylinder. not looking forward to it!
