「JICAアフリカ・ホームタウン」に関するデマについての拡散の流れ - 電脳塵芥

TICAD 9において国際協力機構（JICA）が発表した「JICAアフリカ・ホームタウン」について、いくつかのアフリカ国に関して日本の地方都市を「ホームタウン」に設定したというニュースが流れたのだが、この「ホームタウン」を日本語における文字通りの「故郷」という様に解釈にしたり、ナイジェリア側の特別なピザを発行するという発表やタンザイニアタイムズというネットメディアの現地報道よって該当地域に対する日本の移民促進政策であったり、アフリカの国に地方都市を与えるかの様な解釈をする人々が現れた。なお該当都市を「与える」という認知はタンザニアタイムズに起因するものであろうが、この記事については翻訳の仕方が…
