It becomes all the more important to preserve free (as in no landlords) tool chains that can ship software all the way to end users.

@cammermanChris Ammerman And it's easy for rent seekers to kill free tools:

1. Flood them with slop PRs to make the maintainers give up

2. Flood them with money to implement AI features (like Mozilla)
