Due to my CRA work, I have used a lot of different software recently and folks... I think the complexity apocalypse is closer than I realized.

A wide variety of software I have been required to use just cannot be practically used for its core function a large percentage of the time.

I remember using computers in the oughts and it wasn't like this. Even in the teens.

Capital only wants to pay software engineers for things that capture customers or expand monopolies.

It's bad.
