At the November 2025 TPAC event, François Daoust, W3C Director of Project and Process, presented Process 2025 which simplifies W3C’s standardization by removing the Proposed Recommendation stage, formalizing early charter feedback (Charter Refinement), and improving handling of Advisory Committee comments. Further updates and community input are ongoing to refine the process.
