The @weeklyOSM folks featured a neat lighthouse map a few weeks ago. It reminded me of an old Leaflet based lighthouse map -but- I really wanted globe view...

A few days of work (and adding support for even more kinds of blinky nautical tags), I present the lighthouse-map-libre

A darkened globe map on a background of stars. It is centered on North America. There are colorful circles around the edges of the continents and on the islands. Each, an individual light house, bouy etc.

This is not animated but the website is very blinky. I would love to figure out what an accessible way to look at this data would be... hmmm. Another project.
