I thought bun could fix the npm/node issues and while it does a respectable job, it's such an uphill fight. Between three machines I deleted dozens of mis-matching versions of cli apps. Most were only installed via bun but some of the self-updaters (that auto-run) must have npm hard wired in.

What a mess npm/js continues to be year after year, decade after decade. 🤷
