A constant frustration I see people voicing with Wayland is that it has a "security" model that doesn't actually match the real-world needs of certain users, for example, Wayland thinks "security" means processes can't capture the windows of other processes, capture events from other processes, inject events in other processes, and there are various reasons you'd want to do this. I wonder how much work it would be to fork one of the Wayland compositors and just add that feature.
