i think one of the more valuable things a technology can do is to not make its users suffer its authors' opinions

this isn't always possible (biases will inevitably be embedded!) but you can try to make it happen & that gives the authors more freedom

e.g.: grebedoc *just* publishes files. it doesn't care which static site generator you use, if any. it doesn't even care that much if you use git. if you can zip it, it works. my views on which SSGs are good do not come into it whatsoever
