barring that, sulfur dioxide plus water can give you sulfuric acid (not... actually, you need VO6 catalyst to get good yield, but we can omit that), ethanol can be distilled, sulfuric acid plus ethanol gives you dimethyl ether, that's also a (mediocre, i would assume) refrigerant
