@zkatkat you're trading off resources (reputation, strength of social bonds, attention) for change (alliance-building, shift in mindset) using leverage (difference between stated and demonstrated beliefs, group cohesion, desire for justice).
clarity of purpose for me means knowing all three components as well as what counts as "success" and "failure" and the next step in case of both
