you know how a major criticism of CLIs is that they aren't discoverable?

i just realized that the biggest CLI i maintain, the glasgow command, is designed specifically so that you can discover everything it does by putting --help in the right place (it has a multi-level command parser and it accepts --help at each level separately)

that... that would explain why it's surprisingly tolerable
