Horizon EDA first impressions:

(+) it works!
(+) it's documented!
(-) it uses those awful GTK3 UI idioms. please no
(+) it's easy enough to do some very trivial stuff in schematic and layout while barely looking at documentation
(+) it's not aggressively hostile to my muscle memory
(+) the "pool" (library) feature seems really well thought out and implemented at a first glance
(-) there are barely any parts. the default pool doesn't even include a quad SPI flash!! that's such a completely basic thing
